So you wanna be a Black Sheep?

Then it’s time to ask yourself the following questions:

Requirements:
College education relevant to the position (PR, marketing, communications, advertising or similar degree)
2-3 years of agency experience or freelance/contractor work in which you managed projects and client relationships
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Confidence and ability to handle managing 6-8 clients simultaneously
Prefer candidate with AP Stylebook knowledge and experience
Prefer candidate that is active in the social media community
 Responsibilities:
Managing client accounts and serving as a primary liaison to the client
Writing and updating marketing plans and helping to guide general marketing strategy
Writing press releases, pitches and interacting with media
Copywriting for advertising and marketing collateral
Running, monitoring and updating social media accounts
Brainstorming and generating creative concepts and content
Building an agency as a part of a close-knit, passionate team

Consider yourself warned: This is a fast-paced, hectic environment. There’s no “typical day.” You will do a million things that aren’t described on this job description. Some of these additional activities may include spray painting, singing, acting, dancing and/or wielding a bullhorn. Sissies need not apply.
