Hi friends,

Some of you may have noticed that each week a member of the Flock contributes something that inspired them recently. For those of you who are new to the blog, we’re here to tell the story of Sheepspo.

Every Monday, the flock pulls up a seat to the table—there is a direct correlation between coffee consumed and the chances we will be at the round table by the couch or the long table by the windows—to discuss project timelines and the events for the week. We call this slice of huddle time well spent: Production Meeting.

One day, Leader of the Flock Aimee and Director of Operations Jess put their heads together and decided this was also a good time to talk inspiration. After all, if we can’t inspire ourselves, learn to understand our creative stigmas and push barriers, how in the hell will we be able to do that for our clients, partners and friends?

Good question.

From that point on, each of our Production Meetings began with, “Who has Inspiration this week,” and one bright-eyed, bushy-tailed sheep would share their spark with the team. It’s a thing and we love it because sometimes that means stress relieving coloring books, a motivating TED Talk, an excerpt from a novel or some weird science fiction shit.

But simply labeling things because it is what it is IS NOT the Black Sheep way. Sooner or later we discovered an internet phenomenon called #inspo—a shortened version of Inspiration, mostly coupled with barbells, J.K. Rowling’s twitter feed, perfectly winged eyeliner and crafty Pinterest moments that will soon be followed by the real life fail.

#Sheepspo was born.

We know you’ll enjoy following along every week as we each share what inspires us to create, act, make and do. Each #Sheepspo is signed by the writer from the team—say hi and tell us what you think!
