Together through COVID-19

Strange, Separate and Together

2020 is here, and it’s pulled the lid off of everything we thought it could be.

The world was already inequitable, leaving many of our diverse and beautiful fellow humans out of the conversation. We were already struggling to push for a greater world pre-COVID. Now with the pandemic here, we’re seeing a dramatic exaggeration of the reality that was already put in place—domestic abuse, incidents of racist violence and the invisibility of workers who absolutely need their job to survive.

As a group, we didn't expect to feel this helpless. As individuals, it’s difficult to know where to turn.

This tiny, invisible virus has interrupted everything we thought we knew. About societal issues. About climate change. About work, family, creativity and relationships. It's all changed. We've changed. And that's the best reason we could have to do something different.

For those of you who are in a state of stability right now, we’re asking you to look at COVID-19 as a turning point for how we can change the way we treat people, especially the ones who don’t share the same roof.

If you’re searching for ways to do better by your people, your community, your city, you're in good company here. We're all just doing our damn best to press on—and take you with us.

Strange Days: The ZINE.

Black Sheep is measured, strategic and precise with our client work. This is NOT that. This is everything we were learning, considering and exploring at the time we shoved it all into this cool little booklet. It’s who we were and what we were feeling ??? days into this pandemic. It’s our collective experience, a moment frozen in pixels and memorialized in paper. (Yep, we printed it, too.) Turn and face the strange.
